How long does it take for you to ship my product?
It depends! Pre-boxed kits, standard pre-cuts and notions usually ship very quickly. Custom-designed and cut kits will definitely take longer! Fabric from the bolt has to be cut, so that depends a lot on our volume, but we usually ship within a couple of business days--often the same day!
Do you offer expedited shipping?
As a general rule, no--however, if you really need something and need it quickly, you can always reach out to us via email. We'll do everything we can to help you out.
What are 'dog ears'
Dog ears are the tips of triangle (and other angled pieces) that need to be trimmed after sewing blocks together. The dog ears on our angled pieces--including half- and quarter-square triangles are already removed. They are precision cut so that they perfectly show the start and end point for your perfect 1/4" seam. I can't tell you how much easier piecing a quilt is with this great feature!
Swatch sizes
Following is information on swatch sizes for the various manufacturers:
- Lewis and Irene: 8" wide
- Riley Blake: 12" wide
- Island Batiks: 8" wide
