How and When to Swirl Seams

How and When to Swirl Seams

There are multiple methods for pressing quilt blocks. Ultimately, you want an even, correctly sized, very flat block without puckers or thick, hard seams. This helps ensure your quilt is square and makes the quilting process more successful. As a longarm quilter, I cringe when my machine 'thunks' on a thick seam. Elegant Stars Featured in RBD Blog!
I find the whole process of quilting so satisfying. Yes, even the binding! There's something very restful to me about the whole process. Colors make me happy, and there's something about the milestones along the way that make me feel like I've accomplished something. So it was beyond exciting when Riley Blake Designs featured my latest quilt pattern and kit in their September 2 blog post! There are so many talented quilt artists and pattern designers out there. Who knows, maybe I'm becoming one of them! You can see the blog post here: https://blog.rileyblakedesigns.com/new-elegance-quilt-kit/
