Block of the Month Terms and Conditions
When you register for a Block of the Month program on our site, you are registering for the entire program. This is a contractual agreement. We will abide by this agreement and prepare a kit for you each month with the understanding that you will remain in the program for the duration specified in the product description.
RESERVATION FEE
Some programs will start with a non-refundable Reservation Fee. Usually, these are to reserve a spot in a Block of the Month program that has not started shipping yet. While not refundable, they are nominal fees that ensure you will be first in line for the program.
MONTHLY FEE
Beginning the first month and for the duration of the program, you will be billed the amount stated in the product description page, plus applicable taxes and shipping fees. Unless other arrangements have been made, fees will be billed to the credit/debit card used to pay for the Registration Fee (if applicable) or your first month's shipment. You can change your payment information, shipping address or billing address in your ‘Manage Subscription’ page.
BILLING
Once your Block of the Month program begins, it will be billed on or around the same time each month.
If for any reason we are not able to charge your credit card, an email will be sent to you and your kit will be held until payment arrangements can be made. For this reason, we encourage you to let us know if you receive an updated credit card or expiration date. Updates to payment method, billing address or shipping address may be done by logging in to your account on our website, or by clicking on the link in the email you receive (this link is only good for two hours).
SHIPPING AND HANDLING
A reduced shipping rate (reduced from our standard rate) will apply to each monthly shipment of $5.50. Please note that minimum shipping rates from all carriers have increased significantly since our shop opened.
You can edit your billing and shipping addresses from your cart, from your account settings (one reason we recommend creating an account), or from the link in automated emails sent to you regarding your Block of the Month program (these links are only good for 2 hours).
If you do not update this information, and your kit is sent to an old/expired address, once it is returned to us, we will reship at your expense.
BOOKS AND PATTERNS
If you are signing up for a Block of the Month and already have the book/pattern, let us know in the comments section of your order form. If possible, we can exclude the pattern and set up store credit for you. (In some cases, such as pre-cut or laser-cut kits, copyright laws prevent us from being able to do this, but reach out and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.)
CANCELLATION
At times we may provide complete products (pattern, background fabric, etc.) on our BOM programs during the first month. We provide this for your convenience and to protect against possible dye lot changes in the fabrics.
REPLACEMENT FABRIC
We usually have extra fabric available to purchase if you make a mistake and need additional fabric. Please email us for links to the fabric you need if you can’t find it on our website.
