In addition to the original Riley Blake Designs version, Cat's Cuts has reimagined the 2027 Block Challenge quilt in a variety of carefully curated colorways - from Confetti Cottons solids to designer collections that give the quilt an entirely different look and personality.

Warm - RBD Original - The original Confetti Cottons Warm colorway designed by the Riley Blake Designs team. This is the official 2027 Block Challenge color palette and the starting point for our Cat's Cuts reimagined versions.

More Than a Fabric Swap
Cat's Cuts alternative colorways are not created by randomly substituting fabrics.
Each version is carefully planned so that colors and prints are assigned consistently throughout the quilt, with attention to contrast, value, color movement and balance. The goal is to preserve the character and structure of the original Block Challenge design while giving each alternative version its own distinct personality.
Some colorways use Confetti Cottons solids, while others completely reimagine the quilt with designer print collections. The result is the same 2027 Block Challenge quilt with dramatically different looks to choose from.

- A Revised Swatch Guide with Notes is provided electronically (or printed for a fee) for any colorway other than the original RBD colorway.
- Fabric cuts are labeled with the fabric SKU to help you stay organized!
Backing fabric is not included.
The individual block patterns are provided FREE by Riley Blake Designs as part of the 2027 Block Challenge and will be released according to Riley Blake Designs' Block Challenge schedule. We will post the link here when these become available.
Swatch Guides and Colorway Notes
Cat's Cuts has carefully mapped the fabrics for each reimagined version of the quilt. Colorway-specific swatch guides and notes will help identify the fabrics used in place of those in the original Riley Blake Designs Warm version.
This is especially helpful as the Block Challenge progresses: when Riley Blake Designs releases a block using a particular fabric from the original quilt, you can easily identify the corresponding fabric for your Cat's Cuts colorway.

Because the collections used in these kits have different wholesale costs, kit prices may vary by colorway.
